It is one of the unique experiences available in collaboration with Indigenous knowledge keepers in the Leguízamo region. La Cabaña Mr. Brown facilitates connections with Indigenous experts and provides opportunities to participate in traditional harmony rituals, including **mambeo** and/or **yagé (ayahuasca) ceremonies**. These practices are generally held in Indigenous territories and, by mutual agreement, may also take place at La Cabaña Mr. Brown.

One of Leguízamo's signature experiences, this tour combines river and land travel along the Putumayo and Caucayá Rivers. You'll have the opportunity to see the majestic Ceiba tree, one of the Amazon's giant natural wonders, reaching an estimated height of 40 meters (131 feet). This experience offers visitors the opportunity to discover community-led sustainable development projects in Puerto Leguízamo, where biodiversity conservation is combined with productive initiatives that generate income and strengthen local livelihoods. During the tour, you'll visit meliponiculture projects dedicated to the breeding and conservation of native stingless bees (Melipona bees), essential pollinators of the Amazon rainforest. Local hosts explain the bees' life cycle, traditional and modern beekeeping techniques, and the production of honey, propolis, and cerumen, while highlighting their ecological and cultural importance to Amazonian communities. Visitors can explore the bee habitats, watch demonstrations of the honey harvesting process, and taste the locally produced honey, renowned for its nutritional and medicinal properties.

LEGUÍZAMO TOWN TOUR

This guided tour offers an introduction to the history and cultural relationship between the Indigenous peoples of the Amazon and the contemporary settler and farming communities of Puerto Leguízamo. Along the way, you'll visit some of the town's most iconic landmarks, including the Central Market, Los Héroes Park, the Cathedral and San José Church, José María Hernández and Cándido Leguízamo schools, the town's river ports, Caucayá Airport, the municipal cemetery, the Leguízamo–La Tagua road, María Angelines Hospital, and the traditional Malocas of the Múrui Muina people, among many other places that reflect the daily life and identity of the local community.
