Expedition operated by the tour operator “La Cabaña de Mr. Brown” in the municipality of Leguízamo, Putumayo Department.

This 5-day, 4-night trip will feature rivers, lakes, culture, and adventures.
ITINERARY:

DAY 1: WELCOME TO PUERTO LEGUÍZAMO, TOUR OF THE TOWN

• Arrival at Caucayá Airport in Puerto Leguízamo.

• Transfer to La Cabaña de Mr. Brown and welcome.

• Accommodation in rooms with double or single beds.

• Breakfast.

• Tour of emblematic sites in the town.

• Lunch.

• Honey tour, visit to the meliponiculture project.

• Informative talk about the territory.

• Dinner

DAY 2: INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY, CASSAVA AND COCA LEAF PROCESSING

• Breakfast.

• Visit to the giant Ceiba tree, pink river dolphin watching.

• Lunch in the Lagartococha community.

• Participate in the production of farinha and casabe, essential products made from bitter cassava, and the preparation of mambe and ambil.

• Return to the town.

• Dinner.

DAY 3: VISIT TO THE VILLAGE OF LA TAGUA AND MR. BROWN'S CABIN RESERVE

• Breakfast.

• Transfer by land to the village of La Tagua and observation of the cattle ranching landscape.

• Journey along the Caquetá River to Mr. Brown's Cabin Reserve.

• Accommodation.

• Lunch at the cabin.

• Visit to Peregrino Lagoon.

• Return to Mr. Brown's Reserve.

• Dinner at the cabin.

DAY 4: TOUR OF THE CATTLE FARM AND THE JUNGLE

• Breakfast.

• Departure and tour of the sustainable cattle farm.

• Interpretive trail through the jungle.

• Lunch.

• Return by river to the village of La Tagua and the municipality of Leguízamo.

• Farewell dinner in Leguízamo and end of the experience.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE FOR THE AIRPORT

• Breakfast.

• Transfer to the airport.

Important: This price is per person and covers the expedition, 5 nights' accommodation, and meals.

• Flight tickets are not included in your reservation. - You are responsible for your personal travel expenses. You will have a room with a private bathroom and access to shared spaces: kitchen, laundry, etc. at La Cabaña Mr. Brown in Puerto Leguízamo. The expedition fee is non-refundable as it covers management, organizational, and reservation costs; however, if you miss the trip, your payment will be credited towards a future visit to Puerto Leguízamo.

HOW TO GET TO PUERTO LEGUÍZAMO?

Option 1: Plane – SATENA Airline Routes

– MONDAY: Bogotá – Leguízamo (direct flight)
– WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY: Bogotá – Leguízamo (flight with a layover in Puerto Asís, Putumayo. You can also take the flight that day from Puerto Asís).

– THURSDAY: Bogotá – Leguízamo (Direct flight)
– SATURDAY: Bogotá – Leguízamo (Flight with a layover in Florencia, Caquetá. You can also take the flight that day from Florencia).

Option 2: River crossing (speedboat) approximately 8 hours

– Speedboat crossing from Puerto Asís, Putumayo daily at 8:00 am – Speedboat crossing from Florencia, Caquetá daily at 6:00 am (in Puerto Arango). If you take this route, you arrive at the village of La Tagua and from there take a taxi to Puerto Arango.
